Bryce C Travels

Get out there.

For the trip you keep putting off.

Field guides from the roads I actually drove and the camps I actually slept in — the routes, the legal places to sleep beside the road, what it cost, and the mistakes I made so you can skip them. Every guide is free — the Out There Club keeps it that way.

The system everything else builds on: how I plan a route, find legal camp, eat well out of a truck, and make the money last. Every other guide assumes you’ve already got this one.

How the guides work

Free for everyone

Every guide is a free download, always. The Out There Club keeps it that way — members at $7 a month keep the guides and the writing open.

Actually lived

Every route in these pages got driven and every camp got slept in. The mistakes came with receipts, and they’re written down so yours cost less.

Gear that earned its place

Anything named in a guide is something I carried until it proved itself. My exact picks wear a ° mark and route through one gear page.

The mission

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. I didn’t start driving with anything figured out — I started because I’d lost more than I could sit still with, and the road was the only thing big enough to hold it. What I found out there was quieter than what I’d gone looking for, and it was never mine to keep.

So everything I make is free. A handful of readers pay $7 a month so it stays open for the next person. That’s the Out There Club.
